FOUNDATIONS DETAILS & GOALS

WHO WE ARE 

The STRIKE 4 A CURE Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization headquartered at 136 Richmond Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30312 USA and organized under the laws of the state of Georgia. STRIKE 4 A CURE foundation is the sister foundation to MAKE PLAYS FOR AFRICA. 

The STRIKE 4 A CURE Foundation is dedicated to inspiring hope and providing economic resources to researchers in the quest to find a cure for HIV/AIDS and Alzheimer’s disease. 

The 2nd Annual “STRIKE 4 A CURE” Charity Bowling Weekend will be an Exclusive weekend where Pro-Athletes, City Officials, State Officials, and Tastemakers of Georgia aim to strike out HIV/AIDS and Alzheimer’s by bowling to raise funding for research, outreach and education.  

Osi Umenyiora (#72) of The World Champion New York Giants, will team up with his celebrity athletes and friends to co-host this 2nd Annual special event.  Proceeds from “STRIKE 4 A CURE” will help support Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter and Aids Education Services for Minorities. 

HISTORY 

For the Inaugural Launch of “The STRIKE 4 A CURE Weekend” Osi Umenyiora (#72) of The World Champion New York Giants teamed up with Terrell Owens (#81) of the Dallas Cowboys creating an incredible, celebrity-attended charitable weekend. 

Last year’s events included:

  • STRIKE 4 A CURE; Casino Royale at Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead
  • STRIKE 4 A CURE; Bowling Challenge at 10 Pin Bowling Alley
  • STRIKE 4 A CURE; Pool-side Jamboree at Terrell Owens Home

GOALS FOR THE STRIKE 4 A CURE FOUNDATION

• Raise awareness
Provide forums for the exchange of ideas pertaining to Alzheimer’s and HIV awareness for Minorities.
Facilitate the presentation of programs and the production of materials providing learning opportunities about Alzheimer’s and HIV.
Encourage additional dialogue among researchers who can contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter and AESM knowledge base.

• Educate
Advance the knowledge base of the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter and AESM.
Provide scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Alzheimer’s and HIV research and awareness programs. 

Raise funds to find a cure 
Plan and implement an on-going total development program that establishes endowment funds, as well as restricted and unrestricted funds, that will support the research and educational goals of the STRIKE 4 A CURE Foundation 

The financial goal of “STRIKE 4 A CURE” for 2008 is to raise $1,000,000 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter and AESM.   These organizations play a vital role in our communities and their missions reflect Osi Umenyiora’s dedication to supporting a worthy cause.

STRIKE 4 A CURE Charity Bowling Weekend takes place in Atlanta, GA on May 16th, May 17th, and May 18th 2008.

Official Invite will be sent to a selective guest list of corporate upper level managers, entrepreneurs, tastemakers, and celebrity guest hosts.

SPONSORS TITLE OPTIONS

Official Presenting Title
A maximum of One (1) position is available at a Presenting Level. This is the highest level of sponsorship for STRIKE 4 A CURE Charity Bowling Weekend.  This position includes the distinguished “STRIKE 4 A CURE Charity Bowling Weekend” tag.  This tag may be used on any sponsor’s advertising approved by the STRIKE 4 A CURE foundation.   • Logo inclusion on all invitations, tickets and PR announcements for the events.
  • 35 Tickets to each event.

Official Sponsorship Title
Sponsorship titles are available in Platinum level. These positions include an “Official Sponsor of the “STRIKE 4 A CURE Charity Bowling Weekend.”  This tag may be used on any sponsor’s advertising approved by the STRIKE 4 A CURE foundation.   • Logo inclusion on all invitations, tickets and PR announcements for the events.
  • 15 Tickets to each event.
Supporting Title
|
Supporting titles are available in Supporting level.  These positions include an “Supporter of the “STRIKE 4 A CURE Charity Bowling Weekend.”  This tag may be used on any sponsor’s advertising approved by the STRIKE 4 A CURE foundation. Industry Exclusivity Title
Industry exclusivity is included in presenting level only. Example: Only one sponsor may be designated as the “Official Airlines” of the event. Additional details are located in the Sponsorship investment options section.

Event Promotions
The following Public Relations related items are included at various sponsorship levels

  • Inclusion in full page of advertising insertions in participating sponsors in April/May issues

  • Inclusion on step and repeat signage and gobo applications

Product Display
Displaying corporate product may be accommodated in various ways in addition to the offerings below.  Ask the STRIKE 4 A CURE foundation team members about additional creative opportunities for product display. 
  • Product Display and Photo Opportunity Areas – Presenting levels sponsors may have a fixed position to display products and branding as well as solidified product shots with Osi Umenyiora and his celebrity friends, athletes and guest hosts.
